Do you suck at online dating?

THIS WEEK, WE'LL BE DIVING INTO A TOPIC THAT MANY OF US CAN RELATE TO: ONLINE DATING. WHETHER YOU'RE NEW TO THE SCENE OR HAVE BEEN AT IT FOR A WHILE, IT'S EASY TO FEEL LIKE YOU'RE NOT MAKING ANY PROGRESS. BUT DON’T WORRY, BECAUSE IN THIS NEWSLETTER, I’LL BE EXPLORING WAYS TO UP YOUR ONLINE DATING GAME AND START SEEING RESULTS. SO IF YOU'VE EVER FOUND YOURSELF THINKING "I SUCK AT ONLINE DATING" KEEP READING FOR SOME VALUABLE TIPS AND ADVICE.

Are you tired of swiping left and right with no luck? Are your messages going unanswered, and your matches few and far between? Online dating can be a frustrating experience, especially if you feel like you're not getting anywhere. But the good news is, there are plenty of things you can do to up your online dating game and start getting the results you want.

First of all, take a look at your profile. Is it complete and accurate? Do you have a variety of photos that show different sides of your personality? Are you clear about what you're looking for in a relationship? If not, it's time to make some changes. A well-crafted profile is the first step to success in online dating.

  1. Next, take a look at the messages you're sending. Are they thoughtful and engaging, or are they generic and boring? If you're not getting responses, it's possible that your messages aren't making an impact. Take some time to personalise your messages and show that you've actually read the person's profile. Ask questions that show you're interested in getting to know them better.

  2. It's also important to remember not to invest too much time or energy into people who aren't investing in you. If someone is consistently unresponsive or disinterested, it's best to move on and focus your attention elsewhere. Additionally, try to line up a phone call or in-person date as quickly as possible to avoid getting stuck in a cycle of endless messaging without making any real progress.

  3. Another important factor in online dating success is your attitude. If you approach online dating with a negative mindset, it's likely that you'll have a negative experience. Try to stay positive and optimistic, even when things aren't going as well as you'd like. Remember that online dating is just one way to meet people, and it's not the only way.

  4. While online dating can be challenging, it's important to remember that dating should be fun! Focus on making the other person feel good in your presence and special for speaking to you. Be yourself and try not to take things too seriously. When you're enjoying yourself, you're more likely to attract people who share your positive energy.  Even if you don't find the love of your life right away, you might make some new friends, learn more about yourself, or discover a new favourite restaurant or activity.

  5. Another important tip is to diversify the way you meet people. Instead of relying solely on online dating, try putting yourself in front of like-minded individuals through events, groups, or clubs. This could mean attending social gatherings, joining hobby groups, or simply striking up conversations with people you encounter in your daily life. By broadening your social circle, you're more likely to meet people who share your interests and values.

  6. Finally, be patient. Finding the right match can take time, and it's important not to get discouraged. Take breaks when you need to, and remember that there are plenty of people out there. With the right mindset and a few tweaks to your approach, you'll be on your way to online dating success in no time.

It's important to remember that finding the right person may take time, but you're only ever one date away from meeting the right person for you.

Don't let the ups and downs of online dating discourage you, and stay focused on what you're looking for in a partner. Keep an open mind, be willing to try new things, and don't be afraid to take a chance on someone who might be outside of your usual type. With a positive attitude and a little bit of luck, you'll be on your way to finding that special someone. So keep trying, keep swiping, and who knows - your person could be just one more match away!
